| The Kortina Koupe is inspired
by a genuine Ford Motor Company press release and Motor Show concept
from the early 1960s. Based on the then new Mk1 Cortina, its design had
obvious late 50's American Ford influences, particularly the 1957 Ford
Thunderbird (example pictured below) which shared
features such as the subdued wings and round tail lights.
This Ford 'ad which never was' has been altered from the original Ford image, which still showed the nearside 'rear' window as a split affair - showing how the concept car had been no more than a mock up based on a butchered saloon. Pity eh? |
